Own Your ”I Don’t Know” - Ashleigh Wilson
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
“I have learnt to become a leader and not a boss, and how to get others just as invested in my vision, as I am.” Ashleigh Wilson
A key trait of successful entrepreneurs is self-awareness. It is only after they have had an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, that they can be able to identify the opportunities and the necessary conditions to thrive. Our guest today Ashleigh Wilson, followed a path not commonly taken in business, and due to her persistence, she was able to create a product that is not only unique, but fulfilling to her as well.
Ashleigh is a San Francisco based entrepreneur who opened and sold multiple small businesses by the age of twenty until ultimately landing in the elevator business. She excelled in the industry but decided to leave the corporate world to build her own (ethical) path where she founded AuditMate, the first-ever elevator and escalator auditing and management software.
In today’s episode, Ashleigh talks about her journey that led to the founding her business. She also talks about some of the things that she has learnt in the course of her journey.

I was raised in the elevator industry and I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. [3:14]
I joined the elevator industry in my early 20s, and I thought that I would surely be the first woman CEO of Schindler elevator. [4:10]
I realized that people didn't understand their contracts, and the salespeople didn't understand how to explain to people what they were getting because it didn't make sense. [4:30]
AuditMate was born out of a passion of believing that clients don't need to be elevated or experts, they just need honest and transparent information. [5:26]
AuditMate monitors all aspects of clients’ elevator service contracts and we audit on over 200 data points to ensure contract compliance. [6:12]
What we do to help people is really just trying to be fair, and doing our best to be as honest and transparent as possible. [7:02]
On top of our software, we also have a product line called Safe, which is our specifications and field evaluations. [10:44]
When an elevator company writes an elevator contract, they write it to protect them, not to protect you. [11:02]
We write elevator contracts to protect the owners, and it's the only truly enforceable elevator service contract in the market. [11:11]
It is so important to me that we discuss networking as women in business and any minority group. [13:35]
I am a firm believer in owning my I don't knows and not glossing them when I am not sure. [20:02]
Commercial break. [21:00]
Never stop learning because as you're growing into being an entrepreneur, there's a lot of learning and unlearning. [24:35]
The biggest lesson I have had, is that nobody knows what they're doing, and that's given me a lot of solace. [25:34]
A big solid other learning is owning that this journey is mine, but I can never get AuditMate to the place that I want to get to by myself. [26:43]
I have learnt to become a leader and not a boss, and how to get others just as invested in my vision, as I am. [27:17]
It is going to be scary, but do it anyway. [31:40]

I'm celebrating my 30th year in marketing since I graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with English and art history double major. [3:01]
I got a job with Calvin Klein in the broadcast division and was made the head of what they used to call new media which was online media and digital. [3:17]
I went into pure.com and was the head of promotion at Village in New York, which was the first website for women. [4:18]
When I was ready to start my own firm and to become a consultant, I was really armed with a lot of experience that I can bring multiple viewpoints to my clients. [4:58]
It can be overwhelming as a marketer to have so much data that you don't know how to make it actionable. [6:22]
We try to keep it simple and look at five key performance indicators per engagement and that helps us to focus. [6:35]
Most people don't focus on the whys and all the nuances of their journey and their experience. [7:47]
Looking at how your customer experiences you at every stage of the funnel, and focusing at being good and delivering at every point of the journeys is really important. [7:57]
We are industry agnostic and our clients benefit from our being in multiple industries at any given time. [9:47]
For a lot of these franchisors, having multi-unit operators gives them a level of sophistication versus an owner operator. [14:06]
When you buy a franchise, it is about the level of ongoing support available. [14:57]
People are working so hard, but just taking care of your team and yourself and being a little bit more focused on that is critical. [16:31]
Commercial break. [16:52]
I started small doing whatever I could get my hands on, and after my partner joined me four years ago, we worked together and started scaling the company. [20:21]
The biggest lesson as an entrepreneur was that you can be the most phenomenal entrepreneur, but if you are not selling all the time, then you don't have a business. [22:06]
I started doing it more over the last two years, and now I'm very comfortable negotiating. [22:42]
If you look at different conversations since Covid, we're having an authentic conversation with potential targets about what we do and we're telling you in a really real way. [24:28]
We don't establish trust through talking, but by deeply sitting still, and trying to understand what the other person is saying. [25:36]
If you can live a life where someone feels better after leaving your presence than they did when they entered it, you have lived a life well lived. [26:16]
When I was writing my business plan almost six years ago, the wild coffee plant was growing outside the window. [27:00]
It was a vibrant plant that I would have to cut back because it grew so well, and had some energy and I thought that would be the perfect metaphor for this company. [27:27]
It's a little tough for everybody right and we're all faced with a lot but we have to keep going right now. [29:04]

Many people have this dream of one day starting out a business and being free from the shackles of corporate and the nine to five grind.
My business started out started out from a time when I had not thought I was going to go into business.
I had no idea how to make that transition from corporate to business but I created a framework around it and guided people so that they could replicate the same results that I had seen.
We all try to minimize our amazing cells into a certain mold, and unfortunately, the corporate world sometimes doesn't like our uniqueness so much.
I've been guiding people for the last couple of years through different transitions in their career.
Self-discovery is deep work that takes time it takes energy takes effort.
Many times, we don't give ourselves permission to actually be our best and always having a reason why we justify our unhappiness for a really long time.
No two journeys are ever the same and where you started out, at some point, you're going to diverge.
It is always amazing just listening to people's stories and how they found their place and how they have found themselves and how they're evolving.
One of the things I firmly believe is that as long as we're always learning, we're always going to be growing.
Sometimes I find that, women especially, will tend to half-heartedly put out an salary offer which they don’t negotiate and then have regrets later.
Commercial break.
One of the things I learned about myself in the process is that my greatest tool is actually my mindset.
My career coaching business grew in the pandemic because I quickly shifted from corporate and went into working with individuals.
Being able to make those changes as and when it is needed, and not having this fixed idea of what's going to work out and what's not absolutely going to work out.
As an entrepreneur, I've had to think of what to do for my businesses to survive.
Everything adds up, you just need to be more creative in your collective experiences.
Sit down and do a skills inventory to find out the capabilities you have and how you can leverage those skills to help you be best at what you do.

Becoming A Conscious Parent - Nina Cruz
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Monday Jan 24, 2022
“We have the power to create the environment, create the space and get curious about what's really going on.” Nina Cruz
Practicing mindfulness while making parenting decisions, can go along way in ensuring better connections and relationships between parents and their children. Our guest today Nina Cruz, has been helping parents understand and cope better with parenting challenges, and says it is all about focusing on learning self rather than being fixated on molding the child your way.
Nina Cruz is a certified Conscious Parent Coach, Social Worker (BSW), and Meditation Teacher who’s made it her mission to support parents through shifting archaic parental paradigms, many of which contribute to increased stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and feelings of disconnection for themselves, their partners, and their children. Her approach to coaching revolves around trauma-informed care that puts others at-ease, providing a safe space for everyone to facilitate their individual healing and growth.
Nina knows that when a parent's inner world shifts, the whole family shifts with them in extraordinary ways, changing parent-child dynamics that foster relationships of love, harmony, and genuine familial connection. Families that gain a new sense of awareness through knowledge and understanding of their own narratives effectively create a new blueprint for themselves—this is why one of Nina’s many passions is encouraging parents to do their own Inner Work so they can experience more freedom and joy while balancing everything life has to throw at them.
In addition to incorporating meditation and mindfulness practices into her work, Nina also organizes online and in-person parent networking events, where parents of all walks of life share and revel in their successes, failures, and self-improvement journeys. Nina leads these events so her attendees can become Creators of their lives and attract more of what they desire by aligning with Universal Laws.
In today’s episode, Nina discusses the concept of conscious parenting and why it is important not only to children and parents, but the society as a whole.

I coach parents and support them to find and build more connections with their children by helping them to look at their own patterns and paradigms. [3:42]
Behavior is the tip of the iceberg, what goes on beneath the surface is something different and a lot of this stems from childhood. [4:14]
It is very hard to look in the mirror and so I support parents to do that in a real comforting way. [5:53]
By shifting, you change your legacy, the trajectory of your children's children, and it basically changes the world. [6:50]
A lot of the times we're parenting out of ego but basically no one wins, because you meet your child with resistance and they’ve got resistance too because of ego. [10:04]
It is learning, unlearning and a new way of looking at your child as your teacher and that the child before you is actually growing you up. [10:17]
By looking at parenting through the lens of my child is teaching me, it no longer becomes about blaming and shaming the child, but taking your power back as a parent. [10:30]
Parenting is about growing you up, and not the child before you. [12:24]
The child is perfect and we need to step back and get out of the way and not try and mold and shape them into who they need to become. [12:27]
It is a whole different way of experiencing and looking at parenting, and that's why it's so transformational. [12:50]
Our children are amazing at showing us where we are out of alignment. [13:30]
When you have parents that are very strict, and there's fear-based parenting, children go under and hide things. [18:34]
We have the power to create the environment and create the space and get curious about what's really going on. [18:55]
Commercial break. [19:58]
Your child is going to do what you do because they're picking up your energy. [23:24]
We all have our mess ups but we need to learn from it. [25:47]
The first great lesson I have learnt in my entrepreneurial journey is to trust the process and trusting myself. [27:06]
It is incredible when you come from that intention of what you're wanting to create and not from a strategy that you told to do. [28:33]
In terms of manifesting what you want in your life, our subconscious mind is what triggers the law of attraction, and manifestation, and we need to be in the vibration of what we're trying to create. [29:12]
If you want to create, you need to step into the energy of what you're creating, and that opens up ideas and synchronicities. [30:28]
The more you can get into that vibration and takeaction from that space, the result would be different. [31:28]
If you are a parent, get your priorities set and don’t sweat the small stuff. [31:13]
You are the director and curator of your own movie, and don’t be an extra in your movie but rather get in the driver’s seat. [34:47]

The Leveraged Business - Fabienne Fredrickson
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Friday Jan 21, 2022
“Your business cannot grow until you shift you inside, because leveraging your business starts in your mindset.” Fabienne Fredrickson
As you lead your business to exponential growth, you have to grow as well and shift your mindset to align with the reality of where you want your company to be. Otherwise, you become the bottleneck for your business to thrive. This is according to our guest today Fabienne Frederickson, who says that it all starts by getting structured for your nature.
Fabienne Fredrickson is a powerful mentor for solo business owners who seek to make the greatest impact they can in their work, all while creating certainty in their business. Fabienne believes that when women who are really going to tie into their heart core, make their own money and lots of it, they experience a profound feeling of safety.
She's the founder of the leveragebusiness.com and boldheart.com and she's been a mentor to women business owners for over 20 years. Her predictable process, taught in the leverage business program practically guarantees that a business owner will multiply their results with more downtime once fully implemented.
She is recognized by so many sources in the media, including some big names like Inc Magazine, Fast Company, Forbes, Entrepreneur, American Express Forum and the New York Times. She is the author of multiple books including, The Leveraged Business and Embrace Your Magnificence.
In today’s episode, Fabienne talks about how she took her business to the next level of performance. She also discusses her most recent book that guides entrepreneurs to make greater impact with their business.

In my late 20s, I realized that working for someone else was not going to make my life feel meaningful. [3:31]
I left corporate and opened up my own holistic nutrition practice out of my teeny tiny apartment in Manhattan. [3:51]
At some point I needed to figure out how to get clients and I created the client attraction system which I became known for. [4:31]
I learned that what gets you to six figures a month consistently in your business will never get you to a million, and to get there, you actually need to work less. [5:58]
Once I understood the concept of leverage in business, I began to leverage every aspect of my business, which eventually got me to seven figures. [6:20]
Once you apply the eight leverage activators, which are all featured in the book, ‘The Leveraged Business,’ it will take you to multiple figures every year. [7:12]
Getting your business to earning multiple figures has nothing to do with the money, but rather about who you become, and how many lives you've impacted. [8:59]
I've been teaching the program for more than 10 years, and I put it all into a book. [10:22]
It starts with leveraging a team because you need people to help you simply because you cannot do it all on your own. [10:30]
There are four things that you're looking for when hiring including the skill set, experience, wiring, and culture fit. [11:26]
Next is to leverage your systems whereby anything that's done more than once in your business needs a system and a procedure around it. [11:48]
The other is to leverage your time which is about having the visionary getting into their unique zone of genius and that is where you exponentially grow your business. [12:37]
The fourth activator is called leverage your business model where you need to change your mindset around how to deliver your work in the world. [13:38]
Every time you pull yourself out of the day to day of your business a little bit more, there is a part of you that's required to create the system to give guidance to the team. [16:11]
Once you've got your leverage your team, systems, time and business model, the nest step is to leverage your marketing. [17:15]
Leveraging your marketing is about becoming omnipresent. [17:35]
This then leads us to leverage your accountability where we have everyone know that they are responsible for growing the business. [18:01]
The seventh activator is differentiation where you look to never have to compete with anyone. [20:05]
Activator number eight is leverage your lifestyle which is about starting to live your ideal life now rather than later. [21:49]
Most entrepreneurs believe that the person who founded the business should be running the business, and that could not be further from the truth. [23:11]
Hiring a person that you can trust, who is wired opposite from how you're wired is how you can let go of the white knuckling around your business. [23:22]
Commercial break. [25:03]
Your business cannot grow until you shift you inside, because leveraging your business starts in your mindset. [29:04]
When leveraging your team, there is a mindset shifts that need to happen for you to hire a rock star team. [30:16]
A lot of people try to do it on their own and wondering why it's not working, and the reason is because true transformation happens when we are witnessed. [32:21]
Most of the time you know you are supposed to do better, but you're not doing it, and that is because isolation breeds self-doubt. [33:09]
When you are surrounded by mentors, you start to believe in yourself and there is no way you cannot succeed. [34:15]
If you understand how you are wired, and instead of beating yourself up, you get structured for your nature, there is nothing you can’t do. [37:23]
Understand that there has never been anybody like you, and your song needs to be heard far and wide. [39:24]

My husband and I are the Lou Everett Group, and we are business and executive leadership coaches and corporate trainers. [3:12]
What we really love and focus on is helping businesses and entrepreneurs to achieve over 500% growth in their business and professional lives, through our proprietary coaching system. [3:21]
The most important message that we send is that leadership is not a title, rather leadership is influence for the greater good. [5:49]
We talk to ourselves more frequently, either out loud or in our heads, more than to anybody else during the day. [7:46]
We have to be so intentional of what we put in our minds. [8:05]
We need to be around people that are not only happy, but we also need to have up lifters, to tell us the truth. [8:35]
I learned from my mentor that we need to do a mental floss where we retrain our thoughts and what we're doing. [12:16]
If we keep doing the same things over and over again, and it's not giving us the results, that we have to be honest with ourselves and look at changes that need to be made. [12:31]
Something really important that I have learned in the entrepreneurship journey is that obviously it's not a straight line and that you do have to enjoy the journey of it. [13:21]
I really strongly encourage people to do a reflection every day. [13:47]
Commercial break. [14:42]
The biggest thing that I learned is the difference between having the mindset of being a business owner versus an employee. [19:50]
Do not look at your business as your baby, rather look at it as a machine that you're building as you're going. [20:05]
With this understanding, then you can do what you need to do to achieve your business goal. [20:28]
At some point, especially as you're going through the entrepreneurship journey, you have to look at personal development, or even growth as an ongoing journey. [25:39]
We can only lead at the level of our own development, and you can’t tell others to invest in you, when you can't invest in yourself. [25:48]
Human beings are the only ones in the world that limit themselves and we got to change that through our level of awareness.
I suggest that when finding a coach, go through a couple of them by having a conversation with them, because every personality is going to be a little different.
You have to step out of the picture so you can see the whole and that's another great mindset.
I can’t stress enough on investing in yourself by personal development. [31:22]

I work with mostly entrepreneurs, showing them how to build a top to your income from speaking. [3:59]
In employment, I used to make 30,000 a year, but when I stumbled upon speaking, I was able to create that in like 30 minutes. [4:22]
What I love about speaking is that everybody can do it and you just have to want to do it. [5:16]
The most essential thing is that you're on a mission to help the people that need to hear a message, end of story. [5:47]
If you have that passion, and that energy that will get you on stages, it will help you impact the world, and that will create financial freedom for you. [5:53]
I find that entrepreneurs struggle even when they want it because they want to help so many people and not picking lanes. [7:05]
The worst thing you can do is to sit at home and try and come up with the ultimate message. [7:52]
Getting on stage, and practicing seeing your message, your best stuff will come out in a moment of feeling a connection with an audience. [8:27]
It is so okay to have those conversations with a few people before you decide on your marketing message. [14:14]
If you enter into the entrepreneurial space, there's something in you that believes that you've got something big to get out into the world. [17:57]
Nobody goes to market wanting to be average, so don't look at other people's average services and position yourself against them. [18:08]
Commercial break [18:33]
If you want something you ask for it, and if you're not good at asking, get better at it. [23:32]
Like with anything, if you ask enough times, you get so confident with asking that you start expecting to get a yes. [23:45]
In business, your lifestyle can really lead you to exactly where you want to go and people. [24:58]
Another lesson I learned very early on and one that was told to me by one of my mentors is that your business will only get as big as your life. [26:41]
For virtual stages, pervading your audience with an experience, not just you sitting in front of a computer is key. [28:53]
Do not expect things to get easier, but rather expect yourself to become better everyday. [32:07]

Uncompromising Intimacy - Alexandra Stockwell
Tuesday Jan 18, 2022
Tuesday Jan 18, 2022
“If you want a passionate and dynamic relationship where you feel cherished and self-expressed, then uncompromising intimacy is the way to go.” Alexandra Stockwell
Relationships do not thrive by chance, and neither does compromise lead to long term relationship success. This is according to our guest today Alexandra Stockwell, who believes that spouses should not let their partners’ needs become more important than their own. Rather, she encourages vulnerability and honesty in communicating each others’ wants and desires.
Alexandra Stockwell, MD is known as “The Intimacy Doctor.” She is an Intimate Marriage Expert who specializes in coaching couples to build beautiful, long-lasting, passionate relationships.
She is the bestselling author of “Uncompromising Intimacy” and host of The Intimate Marriage Podcast. First as a Family Medicine doctor and now as a coach, for over 20 years Alexandra has shown men and women how to bring pleasure and purpose into all aspects of life-- from the daily grind of running a household to clear and intimate communication (and ecstatic experiences in the bedroom).
A wife of 25 years and a mother of 4, Alexandra believes the key to passion and fulfillment, intimacy and success, isn’t compromise--it’s being unwilling to compromise. Because when both people feel free to be themselves, the relationship becomes juicy, nourishing, and deeply satisfying.
Alexandra has been featured in the Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, USAToday, Cosmopolitan, Business Insider, thriveglobal, mindbodygreen, FOX NEWS NYC, and Disruptors Magazine recently named her one of “30 Inspiring Women to Watch in 2022.”
In today’s episode, Alexandra will discuss about her journey to becoming an intimacy coach. She will also shade light on how she helps her clients have more intimate and fulfilled relationships.

I was practicing medicine and love being a doctor. [3:53]
I found that while I did love practicing medicine, I didn't have that sense of being glad that I was working this hard. [4:03]
At the level of a whisper, I knew that it hadn’t landed in the way that I expected would be motivating for me. [4:58]
The other thing is that I prioritized my patients over my family and my family over myself. [5:11]
I knew that something was off, and I wanted to make it right, and it took a lot of courage. [6:15]
I arranged a sabbatical and for the first time in my life in my mid-30s, I gave myself permission to slow down in a way that is very unfamiliar for highly competent women. [6:31]
One thing led to another and I got to the point where I really wanted to focus on sensuality and sexuality for myself and for my marriage. [7:53]
I took a deep dive into a beautiful confronting training, and it doubled as a relationship and intimacy coach training. [8:26]
When I went into that teaching lab, I got a feeling that I yearned for, which I didn't have in medicine, but I can still do so many of the things that I really loved about medicine. [9:36]
Even in the intensity of my life at the time, it was a priority to me to notice the whispers. [12:37]
I think that the more competent and accomplished we are, that can sometimes mean losing touch with listening to the whispers. [12:48]
It is very possible to listen to the whispers without losing your momentum in life. [13:03]
Sometimes people hear the word mindfulness and they think of meditating on a mountain top or having a life with tremendous peace. [14:56]
Mindful awareness can be brought to any moment and it doesn't take more time to just expand our inner horizon and see what's there. [15:11]
In compromising, we are taught to deprioritize what we want, and instead prioritize what we think will be more comfortable for our partner. [16:23]
If you want a passionate and dynamic relationship where you feel cherished and self-expressed, then uncompromising intimacy is the way to go. [17:15]
The way that I'm using the word uncompromising is that you prioritize your own experience instead of deprioritizing it in favor of what you think your partner will respond to. [17:47]
If what you want is really to feel alive, vibrant and passionate in your relationship, you have to bring all of who you are and be willing to share it. [18:52]
Commercial break. [20:24]
For most couples, it takes a crisis to turn attention to this and one of the reasons it does is because people don't realize how much is possible. [24:37
I have a very particular part of my heart devoted to couples who reach out when everything looks great but they can see that there's just a lot more possible. [25:17]
Most of us spend a lot of time on doing the not important things and we end up creating lives where we are putting way too much of our attention on things which are urgent. [30:55]
Wherever you are, don’t wait until your relationship is in the urgent category which it will be if you are not honoring it while it is in the important category. [32:07]
We don’t choose our desires but we are always in relationship with them, the essential action step is to give yourself the inner space to become aware of what you desire. [38:19]

Monday Jan 17, 2022

I am a business consultant and strategist and entrepreneurs come to me when they want to sell ultra-high value. [3:14]
You have to be able to step into your worth and into the value that you bring to the table and position that in the marketplace. [7:36]
We teach people our value because no one's ever going to volunteer and ask if they can pay you more money. [8:41]
Many people come to me with decades of experience and yet they're struggling still with that imposter syndrome. [8:54]
They need someone who can shine the light on what's possible to them, give them a strategy that works, and give them the confidence to go after it. [9:19]
There's an internal confidence that comes and once you sell the first one, you can ride that momentum. [13:18]
We work with our clients and free up your time so that you're staying in your zone of genius. [14:36]
There's such a ripple effect from a mindset to the business strategy and capabilities into what you're actually doing with your life. [14:52]
Commercial break. [16:39]
The program is called expert accelerator, and that's exactly what we help you do which is to accelerate your expertise online so you can command those high prices. [18:55]
The top lessons I can highlight is one, hold the vision trust the process. [19:54]
Whatever is being sold, it's going to take determination, grit, and at times getting knocked down and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. [21:06]
If you can play the long-term game and hold that vision, you can get to your goals. [21:15]
The second one is stepping up and owning your worth. [22:54]
I learned a long time ago that if I don't see and own my value, no one else around me will. [23:02]
If I could go back and fast forward, I would try my best to really ramp up finances to be able to invest in next level mentorship that could have catapulted me into my goals much faster. [23:36]
I cannot stress the importance of having someone in your corner that really knows what they're talking about to illuminate the path to success for you. [24:03]
It is great to have that information, but information without guidance is like trying to find your way out of a forest without a compass. [25:21]
Momentum and taking action is key, so get help sooner, both with the coach and hiring a team when you're ready. [27:16]
If you feel you need to start on something, lean and trust that intuition and make sure that you take a massive action towards that. [29:36]
Don't fall prey to the law of diminishing intent, which says the longer that you wait to do something you know you should do, the less likely you are to do it. [29:51]

The Reluctant Entrepreneur - Laurie Gilbertson
Friday Jan 14, 2022
Friday Jan 14, 2022
“My biggest lesson so far from entrepreneurship is that if you can't find it, make it for yourself.” Laurie Gilbertson
Communication is an essential component of life both professionally and personal. Good communication skills allows for accurate and quicker understanding of information. Laurie Gilbertson is a former New York City sex crimes, organized crime, and homicide prosecutor, television legal analyst, educator, and entrepreneur. As the owner of Tribeca Blue Consulting, she helps professionals communicate with clarity, confidence, and creativity in their public speaking, presentations, trial work, and media appearances.

I am the founder of Tribeca Blue Consulting where I work with executives, entrepreneurs and trial lawyers to develop and hone their communications and public speaking skills. [2:17]
Good communication is an essential leadership skill, and the great thing is that it can be learned. [2:31]
There are so many easy and practical ways to make communication clear, engaging, and persuasive and that's exactly what I help my clients with. [2:48]
People need to be prepared to get not just their message across, but really who they are and who their company is. [3:30]
The bottom line is it leads to more profits for businesses and happier clients. [3:44]
I do it with group trainings and interactive workshops, both online and one-on-one coaching as well. [4:23]
The idea of presenting something in that succinct think and coherent way is that you are thinking not of all the things you can say but of how you can make it easy for your audience. [9:30]
The second part of that is listening which is a huge part of communication. [9:54]
By just asking questions and listening, you learn so much, and it helps so much for when you are going to open your mouth and talk. [11:02]
Commercial break. [11:20]
I never expected to be an entrepreneur so I call myself the reluctant entrepreneur. [14:38]
Probably my biggest lesson so far from entrepreneurship is that if you can't find it, make it for yourself. [16:20]
There are so many opportunities that people have to really do work that is important to them, that provides value to people. [16:29]
If people need a big change, just start thinking about what changes you can make in your mindset. [21:00]
My first rule for everyone is that it is about being yourself and not about fitting into some mold. [22:34]
I do tell clients, to be really proud of themselves for taking them that step to know that they are stepping out of a comfort zone in some way. [25:14]
Like with all great communication, it's not about you but the value that you are bringing that no one else is. [25:56]
One of my favorite quotes from Howard Thurman, says “don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself, What makes you come alive, then go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” [27:51]
